Joseph La Morte has been an independent film producer for over fifteen years. A notable theme in his work are inner city lives and stories in all its genres from his first productions, Alfredo DeVilla’s break out feature Washington Heights and the dark comedy “Details” (HBO) to his most recent works, the critically acclaimed Spanish language Entre Nos, “Crush” (HBO) and the comedic web series, Get Some!, which he is now in preproduction for its second season on KollideTV. Joseph is also currently producing a second installment of a series of inspired short films for Welcome.us to be released June 2015 in celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month. Other past projects include Love & Laundry (Sundance 2005), a pilot docudrama The De La Cruz Project (HBO) as an associate producer. He is currently producing A Paso De Mangles a gripping international feature to shot in Colombia.
