Bio

Rita Baghdadi is a Moroccan-American filmmaker and a Film Independent Documentary Fellow. Baghdadi received the 2013 International Documentary Association Pare Lorentz grant for her upcoming feature documentary My Country, No More. In 2014 her genre-bending short Moms premiered at the Zimbabwe International Film Festival. Recently, Baghdadi shot and field produced the feature documentary License To Operate, premiering in competition at the 2015 Seattle International Film Festival. Baghdadi studied film at Columbia College Chicago. She is co-founder of Los Angeles based production company Endless Eye and an active mentor with GlobalGirl Media, dedicated to empowering girls through documentary film.
