Bio

Andres Duran was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. He graduated from the Pontificia Javeriana University with a BA in Communications in 2010. His major focused on the Audio-visual field through which he developed different skills for producing, directing and editing films. Prior to his graduation, he began working at the Centro Atico (ATC), one of the most important training centers of Latin America. At ATC, he was an Autodesk trainer, offline editor and Avid Media Composer trainer. During this experience, he edited various student short films and a TV show called Zona Rebelde. This show was produced through an association between the Pontificia Javeriana University & RCN Television (in partnership with Fox FIC). In 2009, he started working as a film editor and as executive producer assistant in RCN film department. He edited two feature films there: Sin Tetas No Hay Paraiso and The Colors of the Mountain. The latter film was awarded First Opera Prima in San Sebastian Zabaltegui Festival 2010, Audience Goyesca and official Jury mention at Ronda Film Festival. Additionally, it was chosen for official selection at 20 other major international films festivals including Los Angeles, Rome, Fribourg, Chicago and Stockholm. Since November of 2011, Duran has lived in Los Angeles and worked as an editor in StyleHaul Inc.
