Chad Burris produced the award-winning films Four Sheets to the Wind and Barking
Water by Sterlin Harjo, both which premiered at Sundance in 2007 and 2009 respectively.
Burris also executive produced the Michael Winterbottom feature The Killer Inside Me, starring
Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson and Casey Affleck, which premiered at Sundance 2010. In 2011 he
executive produced Famke Janssen’s Bringing Up Bobby and Nick Cassavetes’ feature Yellow.
He also produced Mosquita Y Mari, which premiered at Sundance in 2012, and for which he was
nominated for The Producer of the Year Award at the 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
In 2013, he was nominated for the John Cassavetes Film Independent Spirit Award. Burris was
the last recipient of the Mark Silverman Award for New Producers from the Sundance Institute
in 2007.
