A native Californian, Whitney graduated from UCLA with a major in Communications. She spent a semester studying abroad in Ireland and interned at independent and studio-based production companies including Orr & Cruickshank Productions, Donner/Shuler Donner, and Regent Entertainment. Whitney began her career working as a development assistant in film and television for the then fledgling company John Wells Productions. She went on to work as a researcher for the Warner Brothers-produced NBC drama Third Watch where she wrote two produced episodes (“Exposing Faith” and “Thicker than Water”) and later moved into a staff writer position. Whitney has written several feature screenplays. This is her first project as a producer.
