Bruce Pavalon has made it to the final rounds of many of the major screenwriting contests, including the Nichols Fellowship, the Chesterfield Screenwriting Competition, and the Writers Network Screenwriting Competition. Pavalon’s original screenplay, My Father’s Son, was nominated as best screenplay written at the American Film Institute in 2000. In 1997, Bruce’s original screenplay, Space Girl Blues, was awarded a Blockbuster McKnight Development Grant.

Pavalon earned an MFA in screenwriting from the American Film Institute where he met, collaborated and worked with writer/director E.E. Cassidy on several short films.
