Antonio, the son of Argentine and Chilean immigrants, is an alum of Middlebury College, where he graduated with a degree in International Studies, and spent a year studying abroad in France and Spain.

After graduating from Middlebury, Antonio moved to New York with aspirations of acting and writing. He wrote and co-starred in his first feature, Anne B. Real, in the spring of 2003. After completing the film, Antonio was invited as an artist-in-residence to the Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos, New Mexico.

He co-wrote the feature Up River with Academy Award nominated Documentary filmmaker Scott Kennedy (The Garden) which was selected for 2005 FIND’S Director’s Lab and made Hollywood’s Black List as one of the years top 100 scripts.

His original script Holy Rollers wrapped principal photography in January 2009. Directed by Kevin Asch, the drama tells the story of a young Hasidic Jew swept into the world of ecstasy drug smuggling in the late 90’s. The film’s cast is led by Academy Award nominee Jesse Eisenberg (Social Network), and premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in Dramatic Competition and France’s prestigious Deauville Film Festival. Holy Rollers received theatrical distribution, played in theaters nation wide, and culminated in an IFP Gotham Spirit Award Win for Breakthrough Film.

Antonio lives in Los Angeles where he is currently developing Kings Highway with the creative team behind Holy Rollers and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions.

In the Spring Antonio will turn his attention to The Hate Factory, centering on one of New Mexico’s most infamous prison riots, for producer Jonah Hirsch’s Fixed Point Films, and an untitled “Miami Club Drama” for Marty Bowen (Twilight) and Temple Hill Productions. He has also been tapped to develop a TV Drama set in Philadelphia for producer Troy Carter.
