Free Screening: Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising
Includes a conversation with director Nicholas Stoller
Has it only been two years since quiet-craving new parents Mac (Seth Rogen) and Kelly (Rose Byrne) Radner steeled themselves to do battle with their noise-loving next door neigh-bros of the Delta Psi Beta frat house, a squad of party boys led by the irrepressible Teddy (Zac Efron)? It has been, and with his follow-up to the hit 2014 frat-vs.-pram comedy, Nicholas Stoller has Mac and Kelly about to leave the neighborhood, with the birth of their second child imminent. They get a plea for help from, of all people, Teddy. A new group of invaders has drawn a line in the sand—the Kappa Kappa Nu Sorority, run by Shelby (Chloë Grace Moretz)—and the boys of Delta Psi Beta, now threatened, turns to their old victims for help in continuing the hilariously infantile struggle for supremacy of the block. Stoller is no stranger to extending storylines; he directed Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek, as well as The Five-Year Engagement; he’ll discuss his comedy of territorial imperative onstage following the screening.
