Attention Filmmakers! Apply Now to JuntoBox Film Incubator Program
The four-month long Incubator project consists of workshops and one-on-one meetings with industry professionals—including story analysts, casting directors and line producers. The goal is to accelerate the development of eight-10 selected narrative feature film projects that can be produced for $2.5 million or less. The program begins in September and culminates with a pitch session in December 2014, when JuntoBox Film executives will greenlight at least one of the program’s projects to be financed and produced in the spring of 2015.
“We created the JuntoBox Feature Film Incubator as an extension of our belief in the democratization of the filmmaking process by harnessing a more collaborative and hands-on approach to developing and producing independent feature films,” Whitaker said. Kelly Thomas, who has worked with Mockingbird Pictures, co-founded Extraordinary Renditions and was formerly the producer in residence for Film Independent’s Artist Development programs, is spearheading the project and will work closely with the selected participants.
You can find more information and apply for the Feature Film Incubator here. The deadline for the fall 2014 program is Friday, June 27. Submissions are open to writers, directors, and/or producers who hold the contractual rights to the feature-length screenplay they want to develop. Scripts of all genres are welcome.
