Just 10 days to go until the world learns who will be in the spotlight at the indie film community’s biggest day of the year: the 2014 Film Independent Spirit Awards.

On Tuesday, November 26, at 10:00 am PST, Octavia Spencer (Fruitvale Station) and Paula Patton (Warcraft) will do the honors of announcing the nominees for Best Feature, Best First Feature, Best First Screenplay, Best Director, Best Screenplay, John Cassavetes Award (best feature made for under $500,000), Best Male Lead, Best Female Lead, Best Supporting Male, Best Supporting Female, Best Cinematography, Best International Film, Best Documentary, Best Editing and the Robert Altman Award.

Then we can officially start the countdown to our ceremony on the sand—or as one of our favorite Spirit Award Winners Michelle Williams once dubbed it: “a roomful of misfits, outcasts, loners, dreamers, mumblers, delinquents, and dropouts–just like me!”
