Taxi! Taxi! is the oldest and largest locally-owned and operated taxi service in Santa Monica. Plus, they are the only taxicab company in Los Angeles County to utilize Hybrid technology. As part of their ongoing efforts to become the greenest taxicab company, Taxi! Taxi! has added six bio-diesel Mercedes Benz taxis to their fleet (which already includes Toyota hybrid vehicles), updated their dispatching procedures to reduce paper waste, printed business cards on recycled paper, and is working together with the City of Santa Monica Sustainable Works Program to become the first "Certified Green" taxicab business.
Taxi! Taxi! is making these and other improvements in order to raise environmental awareness, offer customers a greener option, decrease dependence on gasoline powered vehicles, lower operating costs for the drivers, and reduce emissions for cleaner air.
